Our Country Park campsites are located just a few minutes away from Paris by car, or alternatively, an RER station can be found right next to our campsite in Crécy-la-Chapelle, ready to take you to your destination! To help you get the most out of your stay, we have come up with 7 must-see activities to do during your day out (or more!) in the City of Lights!

Get up close
and personal with the Mona Lisa…
The Louvre, the pyramid-shaped building and the most famous museum in Paris! Just so you know, the museum is open to visitors every day except Tuesday as well as every Friday evening until 9:45 pm to allow you to enjoy and explore this unique building by the light of the night.
Permanent exhibition rooms all more beautiful and amazing than the other are waiting to be admired inside the museum, take in the wonders of the great cultural icons such as the Vénus de Milo and the Mona Lisa. We recommend finishing up your visit by heading to the magnificent gardens, the jardin des Tuileries and Carrousel, located just behind the pyramid.
Take a break in the Luxembourg Gardens
A particular favourite with Parisians and visiting tourists from around the world alike, the Luxembourg Gardens are considered to be some of the most beautiful in all of France ! A well-deserved title, once you discover their many lush, green spaces and comfortable chairs, the perfect place to relax after a long walk through the French capital!
For the younger tourists, the park also offers plenty of entertainment possibilities little ones can pick and choose from several playgrounds, a puppet theatre, and even a remote-control boat rental stand, and cast their boat off along the Grand Bassin pond. A less common sight is a beehive.This hive is located in the heart of the gardens, and the honey produced on site is sold at the Autumn exhibition each year!
Climb to the top
of the Eiffel Tower
You cannot visit Paris without going to see the monument known as the “Iron Lady!” Located in the7th arrondissement, the Eiffel Tower is open every day. Head up to the first and second floors and make the most of the dining area, as well as the souvenir shops and a chill-out spot.
Head to the summit of the tower via a glass elevator allowing you to admire the whole of wonderful Paris as you soar upwards. Once you reach the top, soak in the full view of the French capital, perhaps even with a glass of bubbly in your hand, from the champagne bar at the summit!
Take a cruise
along the Seine
What better, romantic way to visit Paris! Day or night, you will find plenty of opportunities to cruise along the Seine, and enjoy a unique way of exploring the most beautiful sights the capital has to offer.
As well as the classic guided boat tour, visitors can turn this cruise into a full Paris experience! Some cruise companies offer their passengers a dining option whether you are after lunch, brunch, or a romantic evening meal. For the ultimate Paris day out, you can even book a cruise that offers a bumper deal including tickets for the Eiffel Tower, tourist bus, and a boat ride along the Seine!
Take in
a show
at the Moulin Rouge
Get ready to enjoy a one-of-a-kind evening experience! Founded in 1889, this famous Parisian cabaret located in the18th arrondissement invites you to come and enjoy lunch, dinner and a show.
Before tucking into your meal, you can sit back and enjoy « La Revue Féérie » a show composed of impressive singing, dancing, and acrobatic performances in an enchanting atmosphere. When the show ends, guests can then delve into a delicious, fancy dinner concocted by a great French chef, with an equally delicious musical accompaniment provided by the Moulin Rouge orchestra.
Go shopping
on the Champs Elysée
This avenue, over a mile long is the unmissable shopping destination for your jaunt into Paris! On this avenue, you will recognise some very familiar and famous French brands and fashion houses, the ideal spot for a shopping spree !
As well as these fancy shops, Les Champs is bursting with beautiful brasseries, terrace cafes, and patisseries, the perfect place to take a well-deserved break. For an alternative visit of what is to be considered one of the most beautiful avenues in the world, we suggest climbing to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to reach the panoramic viewpoint for the ultimate scenic view of “la belle Paris.”
